West Coast Sloper Reunions

All Slopers were welcome to the West Coast Sloper Reunion, held from Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26, 2011, in Yreka, California, at the Yreka RV Park (see: http://www.yrekarvpark.com/) The park is on the east side of exit 776 from interstate highway 5. Alternatively you can make reservations at the Yreka Holiday Inn Express Motel (530-842-1600) and ask for the “Sloper Reunion Rates”.

Yreka is home to several retail shopping areas, many restaurants, auto service stores and motels.

Sloper reunions in the western United States started with extended family gatherings by Maurice Sloper in Fresno, California, in the late 1980's. Subsequent reunions have been held in Renton, Washington (July, 1993), and Champoeg State Park (July, 1996; July, 1998; July, 2001; and July, (2003), Trinity County, California (2005) and Dunsmuir, California (2007).

Sloper of the Year

A tradition at the West Coast Sloper reunions is to name the "Sloper of the Year". Past recipients are:
